From the Washington Post in Response to Graham

I thought you would enjoy reading someone directly responding to Graham:

ENJOY!

  1. "Rather than trying to set one category of fiction against another, which seems to be the fashion these days, I wonder whether we might all benefit from a more open-hearted approach." Preach!

I also liked the quick point Rosenberg makes about reading young adult literature in order to be able to discuss it with young adults. What better way to encourage young people to continue reading than to sit down and talk to them about the books they are reading now.

    Thanks for sharing, Colleen.

  2. Great find, Colleen! And I will be checking out Tamora Pierce's Tortall novels because I am not ashamed to say I like YA fiction. Also, I may be snagging this article to use in a pairing with Graham's article during a persuasion unit. The students will get into this because it is relevant to them.
